Your generosity has made a meaningful difference in our fifth-grade classroom and has helped turn our classroom into a more active and collaborative learning space.\r\n\r\nThe four standing whiteboards have been especially valuable. We use them during small-group instruction, math problem-solving, reading activities, and collaborative work. Students can gather around the boards, share their thinking, solve problems together, and explain their strategies. One of my favorite things to see is students teaching other students. Instead of simply giving a classmate an answer, they use the whiteboards to demonstrate the steps and explain their thinking. These moments build confidence, leadership, communication, and teamwork.\r\n\r\nThe whiteboards also give students the freedom to make mistakes. They can erase, rethink, and try again without feeling discouraged. Learning becomes more interactive because students are moving, discussing, questioning, and participating instead of simply sitting at their desks.\r\n\r\nOur new vacuum has also been a great help. With students constantly moving around the classroom for small groups and collaborative activities, keeping our learning space clean and welcoming is important. It allows us to quickly take care of our classroom and be ready for the next learning activity.\r\n\r\nYour support provided much more than classroom materials. You gave my students tools that encourage them to collaborate, take risks, become leaders, and learn from one another. These resources will continue to be part of our everyday learning throughout the school year.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in my students and helping us create a classroom where they can truly move, collaborate, and learn!","fullyFundedDate":1788663762006,"projectUrl":"project/move-collaborate-learn/10588343/","projectTitle":"Move, Collaborate, Learn!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Cainglet","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9354702_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723000899002","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9354702"},{"teacherId":9555731,"projectId":10579536,"letterContent":"You should've seen the kids faces when they saw all the snacks!!! Because of your generosity, our learning space has transformed into a vibrant hub of teamwork, problem-solving, and shared success.\r\n\r\nWe use these new games and activities daily to practice essential communication skills, planning, and emotional resilience. Recently, our class tackled a team building challenge where students had to work together to achieve the rolling a ball into the hole of a tarp. They need to hold tarps, and lift up or down together to move the ball, only through effective communication and synchronous actions can success be achieved!\r\n\r\nInstead of getting frustrated when things didn't go as planned, the room was filled with laughter, eager gestures, and intense focus. Watching them cheer each other on as they finally found a collective solution was an incredible moment—they realized that everyone's unique contribution was essential to achieving their common goal.\r\n\r\nWhen the packages first arrived and we unboxed the new activities together, the atmosphere was pure magic! Eyes lit up, and there was an instant wave of high-fives and excited gasps. One student exclaimed, \"We get to play these together?!\" They could immediately tell that these weren't just standard classroom tools, but special opportunities to connect, play, and tackle challenges as a team.\r\n\r\nNow that our students have built a strong foundation in active listening and cooperative problem-solving, we are taking these skills to the next level. Over the coming weeks, students will create a Readers Theater of the story The Enormous Turnip and showcase it to their parents featuring all that they learned about teamwork. \r\n\r\nYour support did far more than provide games—you gave our students the opportunity to learn how to communicate, overcome obstacles together, and lift each other up. By replacing rigid desks with soft, welcoming beanbags and cozy lighting, you have created a magical sanctuary where students eagerly look forward to diving into their books every single day.\r\nThis vibrant new environment has dramatically increased student engagement and fostered a joyful reading community. These materials have already made such a difference in what I am able to offer my students in the art room. With new watercolor paints, acrylic paints, oil pastels, clay, printmaking tools, and mixed-media paper, students are getting opportunities to explore a much wider variety of art materials and techniques. Instead of simply learning about different art forms, they are able to actually experiment, create, and discover which materials inspire them.\r\n\r\nThese supplies also help make art accessible to hundreds of students across our school. Having classroom-sized quantities means students can spend more time creating and less time waiting or sharing limited materials. The additional tools and equipment have also made it easier for me to prepare materials and create engaging projects and displays for our school. Most importantly, these donations have helped create an art room where students can take creative risks, learn new skills, and feel proud of what they make.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for investing in our students and our art program.
