Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During independent work times they may choose a spot in the classroom that works for them. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. These flexible seating options will motivate my students by giving them additional seating options and allow them to make choices in their learning environment. The stools will allow students to sit at desk/higher tables but will still allow some movement. Additionally, the comfy floor seats will allow for additional comfortable floor seating options to be used with the clipboards. They are lightweight and can be easily used in many areas of the classroom. Currently my students are sitting in the traditional classroom seating style, however I feel they would benefit greatly for some choices in where the get to sit during the day.
