These resources will promote the Engineering Design standards in the NGSS (3-5-ETS1-1, 3-5-ETS1-2, and 3-5-ETS1-3) by providing the students with hands-on opportunities to engage in the STEM engineering design process, generating and comparing multiple solutions to the problems they’re presented with, and tests and reflect upon their process and final result(s). Any hands-on STEM opportunities will fulfill any and all the COVID-related needs that all students have because it provides them with the hands-on learning, problem-solving, and perseverance skills that are needed. Students' growth mindset skills were strongly affected in the virtual setting because they learned to just log out of/walk away from the computer when learning became difficult. These STEM opportunities will allow them to strengthen their growth mindset.
