When my students first saw the incubator plugged in, they jumped with joy! Then, when the eggs were placed inside the incubator, you would have thought it was everyone's birthday! Once we have chicks, they will transfer to our new brooding box to thrive, grow, eat and drink. Watching through the glass will be thrilling and listening to chicks chirping will be music to our ears. \r\n\r\nWe can't wait for day 21 when chicks will start poking through their eggs to come out and greet us! Will we hold these babies? The connectivity to our mixing board and to the Blue tooth speakers will allow for a smooth production of all of these events.\r\n\r\nAt the performance last week, parents told me how they appreciated the students' ability to utilize various means of technology (including the iPad). A father was impressed in how smooth the flow of transitions were. Students are carefully breaking apart the pellets, identifying tiny bones, and comparing skeletal structures. It has sparked meaningful conversations about anatomy, food chains, and how different species are both unique and connected.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, they were genuinely curious and eager to explore.
