The items I am requesting will be used to immerse students in activities and experiences they can not otherwise get. Students will be able to travel without leaving the classroom. Skills of sports and activities can be mastered and have individual feedback and assessment immediately. Students who cannot afford to go to a golf course can feel what it's like to play golf or swing a bat at a real stadium. These tools can help me reach the Nevada physical educations standards like: Physiological Effects & Benefits of Physical Fitness- 4.5.2 Explain the long-term benefits of participation in physical activity. Self-Management Skills-3.5.3 Demonstrate opportunities at school for regular participation in physical activities. Strategies-2.5.2 Explain strategies within physical activities. I see these tools being a great new way to teach physical education in this ever-changing technological world. Students will be excited to try out new skills learned in a real (virtual) environment they normally would not be able to do. This project will only help bring the two worlds of physical education and technology closer together.
