My students attend Middle School so they need to know about different jobs and potential careers available to them. The job resources are helping my students think about their futures and what kind of job or career they would like to pursue. \r\n\r\nRecently, my students and I used the magnetic jobs matching resource to explore different kinds of jobs and their uniforms. Students took turns choosing uniforms to dress their doll with and hearing more about the job they chose.\r\n\r\nMy students were very excited to see the resources about jobs. They enjoyed learning about different jobs with hands-on activities. Completing crafts also helps my students focus and calm themselves. Most recently, my students used the new art supplies to color their Veterans Day pictures. \r\n\r\nThe students I teach have moderate to severe disabilities, but they showed their appreciation the only way they could. The students were pleased to have art materials that they could easily hold on to and use correctly. \r\n\r\nThe holidays are coming so my students will be using the new art supplies to complete a variety of coloring activities for Thanksgiving and Christmas. It also helped them to feel comfortable in their learning environment.
