The materials requested will enable students to work on projects together, while still maintaining social distancing which is required with COVID-19. The lack of materials in my current lab has taken the collaboration out of my class. By having more materials, students can create their own project, but still work collaboratively by sharing data and discussing how to improve each other's work. I have requested magnetism and electricity circuit kits, electric motors, and electrical tape. One of the main core standards in STEM is for students to learn the Engineering Design Process, which is to collaborate effectively while solving problems and designing solutions.
