This new addition to my classroom has allowed for more storage, inclusion, and flexibility in so many spaces around my room. \r\n\r\nFirst graders aren't always able to work at their table or the rug for the extended periods of time we expect them to, so having the options of the flexible logs that can be moved around our carpet our classroom to provide a little more movement has givven wiggly students a little more freedom while allowing them to focus. We have also been using those as stools! Allowing students to stand on them and have a little more height to write answers on the board - an unexpected but appreciated addition to our learning routines. \r\n\r\nThe bench has also been greatly appreciated by students and staff alike. Keeping the bench near our large rug has been helpful to allow students who need more stable seating to have an option, as well as giving adults a place to sit when they are joining us!
