They proudly shared stories about their homes, foods, and celebrations, which helped build confidence, kindness, and respect for one another.\r\n\r\nThe CVC word games have also made literacy learning fun and engaging. Students are using the games during small group instruction and literacy centers to practice sounding out words, building vocabulary, and strengthening their reading skills. When the children first saw the materials, they were full of excitement and could not wait to explore everything. Many students immediately started matching letters, reading simple words, and asking to play the games again and again.\r\n\r\nThese resources are helping create a joyful and inclusive learning environment where students are excited to learn every day. Our next steps are to continue building early reading and writing skills by using the literacy games in partner activities, independent centers, and phonics lessons. We will also continue exploring multicultural stories through art, discussions, and writing projects so students can celebrate both their own identities and the diverse world around them. Keeping the classroom clean and disinfected during this time is very important because when children get sick, they miss school days, which can affect their learning, attendance, and classroom participation.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new materials, they were excited and curious. They enjoyed helping organize the supplies and felt proud to be part of keeping our classroom safe. Many students shared that they liked having a \"fresh and clean\" classroom and understood that the supplies help everyone stay healthy. It also gave us the opportunity to talk about responsibility, teamwork, and caring for one another.\r\n\r\nThe next steps for our classroom are continuing to build healthy habits while staying focused on learning and growth.
