Our cheerleaders were so excited to begin practicing, and having these resources available has made our first practices even more special. The pom-poms, megaphones, cheer bows, and bags are helping us create a fun, organized, and exciting experience for our students as they begin their cheerleading journey.\r\n\r\nDuring our first practices, we have focused on building friendships, learning basic cheer motions, practicing teamwork, and introducing our first cheers. Our new equipment is helping students become familiar with the skills and routines they will use throughout the season. The cheer bags have been especially helpful for keeping their belongings organized as they transition from morning cheer practice to their school day. These supplies are also helping our cheerleaders develop a sense of unity, confidence, and pride in being part of the Harris Hawks squad.\r\n\r\nWe are just getting started, and there is so much excitement ahead! Over the coming months, our cheerleaders will continue learning cheers, developing routines, and preparing to cheer at school basketball games and special events, including a halftime performance at Springfield College. I want my students to become independent learners who are willing to take risks, learn from mistakes, and celebrate their progress.
