I am true believer in approaching learning from all angles! All of my students have different strengths - some are strong linguistically, others spatial or logical learners. An Easel will allow us to approach lessons in a way that engages all learning styles. In 5th grade, our students learn about literature and non-fiction text. They will learn to identify; main ideas, cause and effect relationships, character development and author's purpose. In addition to that, common core curriculum emphasizes listening and speaking standards. Using an easel during lessons will simultaneously incorporate all academic skills. I am very excited about this school year, and an easel is a gift that will keep on giving, year after year, class after class.
