You never appreciate what you have until you don't have it anymore. A new document camera will mean being able to edit and revise students' writing with the whole class. I will be able to model a new skill for the entire class at the same time. We will be able to practice a test-taking strategy together. Students can use the document camera to model how they solved a problem or explain their thinking to their peers. Our classroom uses a document camera many times throughout the day, in reading, writing, math, social studies, and science, but I truly did not realize how necessary it is for success in my classroom until ours stopped working.
