These headphones will enable the students to concentrate and succeed in using technology to help their listening comprehension skills.
“An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” - Benjamin Franklin.
Currently my students are on the laptops without proper working tools to listen carefully to stories and comprehension questions. Supplies are low and the headphones we do have in my classroom are broken, missing parts or not working properly. My students need new headphones so they are able to hear their online reading program without distractions. New headphones will allow my students to access online reading programs to engage them in independent and close reading practice. They are able to read nonfiction articles, choose their own independent leveled text and take short comprehension quizzes on their reading. My students are working toward personalized reading goals to become proficient readers!
In this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology!
