Another moment arrived when reading about Jennifer Keelan-Chaffins performing the Capitol Crawl and a student shared about the need for more public understanding of invisible disabilities like his own. These texts, paired with guided instruction, provide a space for students to see themselves and their friends and families represented and help me teach students how to develop a more empathetic worldview.
