Exact details of how our art class will be occurring are still uncertain, however, I expect that I will be traveling to individual classrooms throughout our building on a cart and teaching some remote classes. These sketchbooks will allow students to have their artwork on hand, continue their work and assist them in keeping their portfolios, regardless of whether they are in the hybrid or remote model of learning. Students will be able to use the sketchbooks to analyze and critique their growth throughout the year. In addition, they will be able to make notes in writing and create visual journals. Visual note-taking is more than just doodling. It is a way to synthesize information; carve out the most important points and use images to convey the message simply and effectively.
