This project was created to help provide much needed materials for a brand new, expansion classroom. I am a brand new teacher and I am excited to help my students excel with letter recognition, letter sounds, blending letter sounds, learning sight words, and ultimately spelling and reading. The literacy resources will help my students be successful and achieve school readiness literacy skills. These resources will help us grow as scholars in literacy. Giving my students the opportunity to explore their creativity is my number-one goal. However, without basic supplies it can be challenging. My kindergarten students need practice with fine motor skills. Students will have the opportunity to use puzzles as a tool to help strengthen their fine motor skills, along with writing and using magnetic letters to help increase literacy fundamentals. My students will also be working on letter recognition and sounds. The use of sight words and whiteboards will also be tools to help increase my students' literacy development. The materials that I am requesting will help support literacy centers. The charts and materials I have requested will enable me to work with children in small and large group settings. Your help is needed to help this class achieve their literacy goals. Thank you!
