As soon as they saw the wipes and cleaning supplies, everyone wanted to help. We even started a fun little classroom challenge called the \"Dirtiest Wipe!\" Students use a wipe to clean an area of the classroom, and whoever manages to collect the most dirt on their wipe can earn a small prize. Suddenly, cleaning the classroom became something everyone wanted to do! They have been wiping down desks, tables, and other classroom surfaces while proudly showing off just how much dirt they found.\r\n\r\nThe rug cleaner has also been such a wonderful addition, helping us keep the space where students sit and learn together looking and feeling fresh. They were especially excited about having their own dry erase boards and immediately wanted to start solving problems on them. During one of our first lessons, students worked through place value and decimal problems on their boards, proudly holding them up to show their thinking. I loved seeing students who are sometimes hesitant to participate feel comfortable trying a problem because they knew they could simply erase it and try again.\r\n\r\nThe mobile cart has already made such a difference, too. Because I provide intervention support in different settings, I can load everything we need onto the cart and bring our math materials directly into classrooms for push-in instruction.
