As one student stated in their thank you note: the supplies made our classroom a brighter place. The students used whiteboards as part of their daily ST Math routine. We have a saying that our work proves our answer are correct. Throughout the year, we have built the stamina of showing our work for every problem we solve. The students' work ethic has grown tremendously. In our school, 4th grade demonstrated the highest growth on an assessment! Our math notebooks allowed us explore math vocabulary and strategies. A highlight of this year was more student to student conversations centered around math strategies and incorporating vocabulary. Students thrived with the use of math vocabulary in the notebooks paired with sentence stems.
