As a brand new second grand inclusion teacher this coming year I am excited to create a welcoming classroom for all of my students! I want our class rug to be a focal point of the classroom so that students view it as a safe learning space where they feel comfortable to stretch their minds. A classroom rug will allow us to come together for learning and community building opportunities every single day. The rug has a spot for every student so that they have their own personal learning space. Every classroom can benefit from organization! It helps things run smoothly and sets up routines for students. I want my students to feel that there are structure and predictability in our classroom as well as an organized teacher!
