It is my hope to provide my first and second graders with a safe space where they know they are able to be themselves no matter their emotions. I am devoted to creating a calm down space in my classroom where students can go and sit on a bean bag, wobble chair or cushion and also use a weighted blanket, different fidgets, sensory toys and snuggle tools to calm their bodies. This area will also include positive affirmations and tools to regulate their bodies in order to help them be as successful as they can be.
