They were able to work with them in the same manner we would if we were in the classroom together. I was able to model with the teacher manipulatives I had at home and show the students various ways they were expected to use the manipulatives. \r\n\r\nMany parents shared that their students were more engaged in math class because they had their manipulatives with them. Many of the students used the manipulatives as they were doing their homework in the way we used them while online. Students used the manipulatives while they were working on their personalized learning activities.\r\n\r\nStudents really took well to using the manipulatives and they were very beneficial to the students progressing with grade level skills. It made math make sense to them. These boards and markers have been used for many things. They can be used during whole and small group learning. The students also like the verity of colors the markers are in, they can pick their favorite color or choose different colors for different tasks. The boards are durable and can be used next school year.\r\nThank you for the printer ink also. It helps to be able to print things out in color. Things that are on the wall like the schedule and vocabulary are more eye catching. Students look forward to seeing the colorful pictures that accompany the objectives, vocabulary, and directions for a day's task. To challenge them, they will work on mini projects related to the text and present an oral presentation on the topic.
