We were able to replace complete sets so avid readers could get the full storyline. \r\n\r\nThe excitement circulating with the addition of these books was visible. Certain classes would come in and check out the entire series of books. In the next class, they would immediately come in and tell me that this person wanted that person's book and so on. The children had so much curiosity about the peat pellets. That was the beginning of the fun. The children learned that different seeds need to be planted at different depths which required measurement.\r\n Then, watering brought forth sprouts of beautiful seedlings. Many of the seeds were duds, so we replanted. Later, before we plant, we will examine the leaves and notice differences. We will add to our vocabluary words such as broad and narrow.\r\n At last, we will plant them in the school's community garden. Our Nature teacher, Ms. Nika, has given us a plot map, and we will plant soon. It is going to be so much fun!\r\n Thank you so much for bringing this project to life. When students are ready for summer, and we are looking for meaningful and engaging tools to learn with, these fulfilled the need!\r\n\r\nWith the Micro:bits, we coded them to play the game \"rock, paper, scissors.\" Students each coded their own Micro:bits, paired up, and played a fair game of \"rock, paper, scissors.\" There was no guessing who the winner was with a last-minute change of hand, because the Micro:bits could display one of the three game pieces at the same time without changing the icon. The students loved this activity!\r\n\r\nFollowing the Micro:bits, we used the Makey Makey tools. To start, students had to set up their Makey Makey circuit board to playdough, sync it with the app on their computer, and then they could play piano. Some students chose to play a soccer game, using the Makey Makey as a controller; others chose to test the conductivity of items. \r\n\r\nThese items were a perfect way to conclude our school year.
