They couldn't wait to explore the phonics games, hands-on manipulatives, and new decodable readers. We immediately began using them in small groups, and the difference was noticeable from the start. Students were more engaged, focused, and excited to practice their reading skills in new, interactive ways.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments was watching a student who usually hesitates to read aloud confidently sound out words during a phonics game. He smiled and said, \"I actually like this one!\" These tools have made reading practice feel less like hard work and more like a fun challenge. The decodable books have also helped students connect the patterns we've practiced to real reading experiences, which is such an important step in building fluency.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity, our intervention time has transformed into a space filled with energy, laughter, and growth. My students are not only improving their decoding and fluency skills, they're also beginning to see themselves as successful readers. Your support truly helped make reading something they look forward to every day.","fullyFundedDate":1746787047582,"projectUrl":"project/read-with-confidence-building-phonics-a/9314883/","projectTitle":"Read with Confidence: Building Phonics and Fluency Skills","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Brainard","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2991851_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1500410596623","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2991851"},{"teacherId":9437258,"projectId":9317018,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for all the donations! They love to help clean up. And this is a way I can incorporate a little bit of counting and stem in my activity. I've got some students that like to see if they could stack everything in wood pile. I've got others that will stack them in way. I never even thought of.
