The classroom rug we requested was a beautiful new addition to our classroom. It has become the center piece of our classroom and our central meeting location. My students enjoy the bright color as it makes the classroom very cheerful. The round shape allows us to sit in rows for instruction, in small circles for small group conversations, and in one large oval for large group conversations. It has helped us grow as a learning community.\r\n\r\nThe students also made it their own during independent work time. It is an every day occurrence to find a student with their writing folder sprawled out on the comfortable material and working on writing.
