Once they laid eyes on the comfy floor seats and lap desks, there were squeals of delight! Students couldn't wait to find out who would get to use them first.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has had such a beautiful impact on our students. Thanks to your donation, I was able to add two new options for finding a \"just-right spot\" during daily independent reading. During this time, students are able to select a place around the room to get cozy with a book of their choice, using a comfortable floor seat or a lap desk to hold their reading notebook.\r\n\r\nOur workshop model promotes independence, accountability, and a joy for reading, and flexible seating has enhanced this experience by allowing students to feel comfortable, focused, and excited about reading. Thank you for helping make our classroom a more inviting and student-centered learning space.","fullyFundedDate":1758856058935,"projectUrl":"project/the-possibilities-are-endless-accessibl/9452325/","projectTitle":"The Possibilities are Endless: Accessible Flexible Seating for All!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Vandrevala","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9784321_orig.jpg?crop=2168,2168,x0,y260&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1730044392824","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9784321"},{"teacherId":5479288,"projectId":6681544,"letterContent":"Whenever students are new to my classroom, their eyes light up when they see our couch. \r\n\r\nThe couch provides a comfortable place for students to read and concentrate. The students were able to create the most colorful and creative projects with them! \r\n\r\n Allowing students to work with the Play Doh helped them practice their clay hand-building techniques before they worked with their final clay project. The chalk pastels were used to mix and blend the colors of the large ceiling tiles. The thread and felt were used to sew the original felt plushies. The sharpies were used to create interesting abstract zentangle design patterns and to add the finishing touches on the watercolor paintings. The mounting putty allowed us to hang the artwork on the windows throughout the school. \r\n\r\n Without these supplies, none of these projects would've been possible.
