Because of our generous donors, math is no longer something students simply complete — it's something they look forward to.\r\nWith the new hands-on games, engaging materials, and interactive activities, students became more confident and willing to participate. Even those who used to hesitate during math lessons are now volunteering to solve problems, explain their thinking, and collaborate with classmates. The playful approach reduced math anxiety and created a positive learning environment where mistakes are seen as part of the learning process.\r\nThe project also strengthened critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Students practiced essential math concepts in a fun and meaningful way, which helped deepen their understanding rather than just memorizing procedures. The excitement in the room during math time is truly different — there is more laughter, teamwork, and persistence.\r\nMost importantly, this project reminded students that learning can be joyful. Because of our donors' kindness and support, my classroom is now a space where math feels approachable, engaging, and empowering.\r\nThank you for believing in our students and investing in their success. Your generosity is helping build not just stronger math skills, but also confidence and a love for learning that will last far beyond this school year.","fullyFundedDate":1759387171780,"projectUrl":"project/math-motivation-play-learn-and-enjoy/9773524/","projectTitle":"Math Motivation: Play, Learn, and Enjoy","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Resurrecion","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9337970"},{"teacherId":9373628,"projectId":9780376,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting this project and for helping create a classroom environment where students feel valued, supported, and proud of their work.\r\n\r\nThe items from this project have had an immediate and visible impact on my classroom. The decorative lighting has transformed the space into a calm, welcoming environment where students feel safe to take risks, participate, and express themselves. Students frequently comment on how the room feels more comfortable and inviting, which has helped reduce stress and increase engagement.\r\n\r\nThe color printer ink has allowed students to print final projects in their chosen colors rather than black and white. This has made a meaningful difference in how students view their work. Displaying their colorful artwork around the room has helped celebrate their achievements and instill a sense of pride and ownership in their learning. Students are excited to see their work displayed and feel recognized for their effort and creativity.\r\n\r\nThe artwork shown in the photos reflects a variety of assignments connected to both academic and social-emotional learning. These displays serve as daily reminders that student voices matter and that their contributions are valued. They also reinforce our \"Choose Love\" SEL curriculum, which focuses on courage, gratitude, forgiveness, and compassion.\r\n\r\nThe snacks have supported students who come to class hungry, helping them stay focused and comfortable during learning activities. Providing snacks has also strengthened relationships, as students know their basic needs are being considered and respected. Fidget tools have been especially helpful for students who need sensory support, allowing them to better regulate and concentrate during lessons.\r\n\r\nOverall, these resources have helped create a classroom where students feel safe, calm, and motivated to do their best. This project gave the girls an opportunity to express their creativity while also building school spirit and teamwork. They carefully selected designs, colors, and vinyl materials, learning firsthand how design choices affect the final product.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the girls were beyond excited! They couldn't wait to start creating and were especially thrilled to have brand-new pom poms since our school's old ones were worn out. Seeing fresh supplies made them feel valued and motivated. The energy in the room was incredible as they began planning their shirts and imagining how they would look cheering together at events.\r\n\r\nOne memorable moment came when a group realized the vinyl they originally chose didn't complement their design the way they had hoped. Instead of giving up, they evaluated the problem and decided to keep their original design but switch to a different vinyl that made it stand out more. Later, they even chose a completely new design with bolder shapes so they could successfully use the first vinyl for another shirt. This experience turned into a powerful lesson in problem-solving, flexibility, and creative thinking.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, this project is continuing to grow. Our next steps include designing and creating more shirts for upcoming school events. The girls are already brainstorming new themes and experimenting with different design elements.
