This year is our first "full inclusion" year of kindergarten. The General education teacher and I are teaching " even if we learn in different ways... we are learning together". So far our students do not know who our "special needs" students are because they feel they are all wonderful and unique in their own way. I have students with autism with sensory needs fully included in this classroom. I am always looking for and creating sensory activities to help them be successful. An IPAD with sensory/ autism activities can be an essential and helpful tool for my students when they need sensory breaks, alternative ways to learn a concept, or used to work with a peer for engagement. It is my dream and hope to get all the supports necessary for my students to thrive in our wonder classroom this year.
