Providing grade-level texts with meaningful and engaging content has shifted the energy in the classroom. My students come in now and are excited to read and engage with the text. They want to discuss ideas that challenge and resonate with them.\r\n\r\nI am seeing real, measurable success! When they first saw the glue sticks, batteries, and glue guns laid out on their lab tables, they cheered—several students shouted, \"We get to build today?!\" It was the perfect moment to introduce how 3D printing works layer by layer, and the materials you provided turned a challenging concept into something they could touch, shape, and experiment with.\r\n\r\nUsing the hot glue as a stand-in for filament, my students practiced building simple shapes, troubleshooting collapsed structures, and adjusting their designs just like real engineers do. One group even began experimenting with supports and overhangs, applying engineering vocabulary without being prompted. This lesson helped them understand additive manufacturing far more deeply than a lecture ever could. They were fully engaged, talking through ideas, encouraging each other, and celebrating every small success.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, my students are now moving into our next steps: applying what they learned with hot-glue \"printing\" to our CAD software and real 3D printers. My goal was to transform that transition time from a management hurdle into a powerful and focused learning opportunity. By introducing a consistent, 5-minute bell work routine, I aimed to settle students, immediately engage their focus, and strategically review key academic content.\r\nThe results have been nothing short of transformative. The impact on the classroom atmosphere was immediate. Students now enter the classroom, look at the board, and begin working. Students automatically get their notebooks, do their bell work, and are always accountable. after class, they turn in their notebooks in an organizer assigned to them. The time it takes for the class to \"settle\" has been reduced. This predictable, structured start has created a calmer, more professional academic environment for everyone.\r\nMore importantly, this project has had a clear impact on student engagement and academic performance.\r\nThis project has reinforced my belief that small, structural changes can have an outsized impact. What began as a tool for classroom management has become one of my most effective instruments for formative assessment and academic review.\r\nThank you for your support of this initiative. The soft, warm lighting has created such a calming atmosphere that I've noticed students naturally engage with their learning when the harsh fluorescent lights aren't glaring down at them.\r\n\r\nThe thermal laminator has been a game-changer for our hands-on learning activities. Just last week, I created a set of reusable discussion question cards and now create laminated sets of learning goals. We've since used it to create weather-resistant outdoor scavenger hunt cards and wipeable practice sheets for discussion.\r\n\r\nThe microwave stand might seem like a small addition, but it's had a huge impact on our lunch routine. Previously, students had to balance the microwave precariously on a too-small table, which made everyone nervous.
