I teach 11th grade Social Studies to a wide range of students, including special education inclusion students and english language learners in the general education setting. I currently teach two semester long courses. Modern Hawaiian History covers Hawaii's state history from about 1893 to the present. The other course is Participation in Democracy where student learn about the US government and how to become contributing members to the communities they live in. These classes as they are important because any student can find some relationship to the content being taught regardless of background.
