These items showed our students that their time, leadership, and dedication are truly valued. With rules and expectations to begin, it took a little while for students to realize the approproate times to use it. He fidgeted with the sensory tools, read some of the posters, and at the end of his 5 minute timer was back at his desk ready to start his day.\r\n\r\nI've had others students use it when they're upset, angry, or even when they just can't seem to calm down their physical movements. Both students and I are thankful to have this extra piece of calm and quiet in our classroom.
