Our new special needs Pre-K classroom will support 12 students with severe communication and social deficits. Students who have characteristics of Autism Spectrum thrive when materials and programs are organized and delivered in a concrete fashion. Each center will be color-coded using the bin colors, which will help promote independence for students who have limited to no verbal output. The students will use their individualized daily schedules to navigate their classroom environment by matching with the color-coding of the bins for that center. Our goal is to help build independence, communication and social engagement, which is what can happen in a well-organized classroom setting. Thank you for your consideration of our most precious students.
