Student has been trying out new types of markers, working on their grasp, painting with small paintbrushes, gluing with glitter, and learning how to cut with the use of loop scissors that fit their hands. \r\n\r\nThis past week we have use the glitter glue sticks to color snowmen and then stick snowflakes on top of the glue. The students have loved the glitter glue and many independently were engaging with this material. \r\n\r\nIn the upcoming weeks we will be continuing to explore the new materials through activities encouraging independence in material use such as coloring, opening/closing materials, developing strength and an appropriate grasp. We plan on using the rubbing plates with large egg crayons to encourage increased pressure on the page and a multi-sensory approach to learning letters. \r\n\r\nThanks to your generous gift we have been able to elicit academic skills and target therapy goals through art.
