When a child's body feels dysregulated, it becomes much harder for their brain to focus, comprehend, and engage. Your support is helping us bridge that gap.\r\n\r\nThis project provides sensory tools such as calming tents, weighted lap pads, flexible seating, soft lighting, and soothing textures that help students feel safe and grounded. One of the most impactful tools you funded is our school trampolines. Trampolines provide **vestibular input** (movement that helps the brain understand balance and motion) and **proprioceptive input** (deep pressure and joint input that helps students understand where their bodies are in space). Together, these sensory inputs can be incredibly regulating—helping students calm their nervous systems, improve attention, and feel more in control of their bodies.\r\n\r\nWhen students are able to regulate their bodies, they are better able to regulate their emotions and focus their attention. Incorporating games helps the students work on social skills such as turn-taking all while having fun!\r\n\r\nI also was able to purchase new coloring supplies with your help. My students have been using them to complete many speech and language projects. This past week, students made New Year's Eve hats and colored them with the new coloring supplies!\r\n\r\nI also have used the laminating sheets to make core-boards and visuals for my students. Robotics kits, building materials, and science tools each have a clearly defined place, which has made it much easier for students to independently gather what they need and clean up efficiently. One student commented that it \"feels like a real engineering lab,\" which perfectly captures the impact this has had on our learning environment.\r\n\r\nDuring a recent design challenge, students were able to transition seamlessly from planning to building because materials were easy to access.
