In Kindergarten, students are doing a lot of work with letters, colors and numbers. Our school printer only prints in black and white. By having access to a color printer in our classroom, I can provide my students with quality color worksheets that are easier to read and complete. For example students may have to do a sight word search by coloring certain words certain colors. Since we are just learning to read in Kindergarten many of the student rely on the accuracy of the colors on their worksheets along with teacher guidance to complete their work. Without a color printer it can make understanding the worksheets or activities a little more difficult for young learners. A color printer would also give student access to having decodable readers and other in class materials available to them in full color.
