The laminator, games, books, and supplies are used on a daily basis! I have used my laminator and laminating sheets to make materials that will be used for years to come. Some of the items I have made include visual schedules, visual aids, and cards for choice making. I have also made card and board games for use in speech-language therapy sessions. \r\n\r\nI work with several students to address higher-level language skills, such as use of contextual cues, making inferences, and academic vocabulary. I received the Reading Detective book (pictured) and it is perfect! It specifically targets all of these skills using interesting, educational short stories. In addition, the Lakeshore Games \"Making Inferences\" and \"Context Clues\" have become student favorites! These games help address these skills while the students are having fun! \r\n\r\nMost of all, I am so thankful for all of the books! I love using books to address a variety of speech-language needs including retelling stories, answering \"wh\" questions, building vocabulary, inferencing, drawing conclusions, and so many more!\r\n\r\nI truly appreciate your generosity and support.","fullyFundedDate":1770924876944,"projectUrl":"project/lets-talk/9839447/","projectTitle":"Let's Talk!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hollick","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10316395"},{"teacherId":10325705,"projectId":9850434,"letterContent":"I am writing with sincere gratitude to thank you for your generous support of our special education classroom. Because of your thoughtfulness, our students now have access to materials and resources that are already making a meaningful difference in their daily learning experiences.\r\nThe flexible seating options you provided have transformed our classroom environment. Many of our students struggle to stay regulated and focused in traditional seating, which impacts their learning. Now, they are able to choose spaces that meet their sensory and physical needs. This sense of comfort and autonomy has led to increased engagement, improved focus, and a more positive attitude toward learning. I have seen students practicing decision making and sharing, as well as learning responsibility for maintaining the excellent flexible seating resources. These are a hit in my classroom! \r\nYour support has also expanded our reading comprehension options for students. With new materials that present content in accessible and engaging ways, students are better able to understand, discuss, and connect with what they read. These resources allow us to meet students at their individual levels and provide multiple pathways to understanding, which is essential in a diverse learning environment. The rich conversations we have been able to have due to working with engaging texts has been incredible to see.\r\nAdditionally, the reading and word building supports you helped provide are strengthening our students' foundational reading skills. With targeted tools and structured resources, students are building confidence as they break down words, recognize patterns, and develop independence in their reading. These skills and strategies have positively impacted their spelling as well. For many of our learners, these are critical steps toward long-term academic gains.\r\nMost importantly, your generosity is helping our students feel capable, supported, and valued. They are excited about their new options each day. You are not just providing supplies, you are opening doors to confidence, growth, and meaningful progress.\r\nThank you for believing in our students and investing in their futures.
