In our first activity, we grilled mochi and experienced a traditional, home-style Japanese taste. Cooking together created natural communication, and we saw different strengths shine quiet students stepped into leadership roles, while others thoughtfully supported their classmates. Each student chose a character they liked and created their own piece of artwork.
