Podcasting is a contemporary, dynamic, and creative form of new media where people can share their passions with the world. Using quality podcasting equipment like the Blue Ice / Yeti mics with screens and stands, Audio Technica headphones, ART HeadAMP headphone amplifier, and the Focusrite USB Audio Interface to bring this new medium to life in the English and Journalism classroom setting, students will have opportunities to develop new technical skills and demonstrate their learning and creativity. In English 9 and AP Lit, 9th graders and 12th graders will develop Podcasting projects related to the texts we study and the engaging essential questions that drive the curriculum. From informational podcasts like "Lore" to more conversational free form discussion around texts and topics English and Journalism students will flourish in this form.
