Your gift has truly enriched our classroom experience.\r\n\r\nOur students thoroughly enjoyed reading the story of Esperanza's coming of age and were deeply engaged by Cisneros' beautiful figurative language and unique narrative style. Many students shared that they enjoyed the book far more than they expected—and that it inspired them to look at storytelling in new and creative ways.\r\n\r\nRight now, our students are writing their own vignettes modeled after Cisneros' style, exploring their own voices and experiences through this literary form. It has been wonderful to see them connect so personally to the text and to the art of writing.\r\n\r\nThese books will continue to inspire and engage many classes in the years to come.
