This printer will allow me to continue using research-based best practices in my teaching, specifically for my ELL (English Language Learner) students. I love using all of the online platforms to teach my students, but I also recognize how all the new user interfaces sometimes distract from the learning - especially for students still struggling to type and read English. I'm planning to use my printer (and printed materials) to model and teach live think-alouds, WITsi sentence scrambles, and to send them letters via USPS! Plus, once we return to the classroom, my students will be very appreciative to have access to a printer instead of trying to rush through crowded halls during passing period to print their essays.
