My students come to me with a wide range of reading needs, and having reliable technology allows me to provide targeted instruction and practice based on the specific skills each student is working to develop.\r\n\r\nDuring small-group intervention, I can use the MacBook to provide interactive phonics and word-reading activities, digital texts, fluency practice, and literacy games that reinforce the skills we are learning. Students can receive immediate feedback and have additional opportunities to practice skills at their own pace. The MacBook also allows me to access student data more efficiently, which helps me identify areas of need, monitor progress, and adjust instruction to better support each student.\r\n\r\nI have noticed the impact on students who may be hesitant to participate or who become discouraged when reading feels difficult. The opportunity to use technology during intervention has increased their excitement and willingness to practice. Working in the special education field we are constantly printing and laminating pictures for our students to communicate with us throughout the day.
