I want to encourage students to become photographers and artist. These cameras will engage students and build a sense of community. Moreover, students will be able to communicate and express themselves freely even with many language and speaking difficulties. This is their first year in a school, and I want students to be excited to create and learn. Students will be able to choose their subject, explore, communicate and work together to create art. They will work together to establish concepts based on curriculum through photography. They will have the opportunity to be exposed to a new way of learning and creating! By giving students control of a camera, I am allowing students freedom and choice in their learning. They have control. I have experienced the joy of photography as a child! I have seen how digital art can positively affect students' work and demeanor. I hope to start my teaching career inspiring and encouraging my students!
