Your contribution has truly transformed our learning space. With the new lamp, rug, cushions, doughnut seats, and bookcase, my classroom has become a cozy and inviting environment where my students feel comfortable and excited to learn. Just recently, my students gathered on the rug with the cushions for a group reading session, and the doughnut seats gave them a fun, comfortable place to sit that helped them stay focused and engaged. The new bookcase beautifully organizes our growing collection of books, making it easy for my students to explore and choose what they want to read next.\r\nMy students were thrilled when they first saw the new materials. Their excitement was contagious—they immediately wanted to try out the doughnut seats and explore the books on the shelves. It's wonderful to see how these additions have boosted their enthusiasm and sense of belonging. The warm glow from the lamp makes reading time feel special, and the cushions, doughnut seats, and bookcase create a flexible, welcoming area that supports different learning styles and encourages a love of reading.\r\nMoving forward, we're excited to use this cozy space for upcoming lessons and projects that encourage collaboration and creativity. My students will be working on group activities and presentations, and having these comfortable seating options and easy access to books will help them stay engaged and work together more effectively. Thanks to your kindness, my students have a wonderful place to grow, explore, and succeed. Each year I teach my kindergarteners nursery rhymes, but this year was extra special. At the conclusion of our unit on nursery rhymes, my students recited the nursery rhymes they learned to students in PreK. My students modeled excellent behavior while in the PreK classrooms and were so proud to \"read\" to the PreK students. \r\n\r\nKindergarteners don't often get opportunities to engage on this side of schoolwide leadership roles. While the kindergarten and PreK students enjoyed the experience, I think it was truly extra special to the PreK teachers to see their students from last year back in their classrooms in a different role. I am certain they felt a sense of pride in the work they did in getting those students to that point.\r\n\r\nOn top of the leadership experience, my students loved being able to share these books with PreK students. I know how important it is for young children to learn nursery rhymes, and I am thankful that I was able to help get these books in their hands.\r\n\r\nA post was made on our school social media page where one PreK parent commented that she and her child read the nursery rhyme book at least ten times that night. That comment alone was confirmation enough that this project accomplished what I intended for it to accomplish.\r\n\r\nThank you, again, for your support and helping bring this project to life. I was so excited to add them to our library, and the kids dove right in. It's been amazing to watch. In my classroom, reading time is one of our favorite parts of the day. We work on things like understanding the main idea, asking questions while we read, and using clues from the text to figure things out. These new books are perfect for helping us build those skills in a fun and meaningful way. Some of my students who didn't think of themselves as readers are now asking if they can take books home. One student who used to just flip through pages is now actually finishing books and wanting to talk about them. It's been such a joy to see. Thank you again for helping me build a classroom where kids are excited to read. Your support means so much to me and to them.","fullyFundedDate":1736779587009,"projectUrl":"project/boosting-bookworms-with-brilliant-books/9022539/","projectTitle":"Boosting Bookworms with Brilliant Books!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Flanagan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7017972_orig.jpg?crop=2937,2936,x0,y274&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1596941044041","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/kellyflanagan"},{"teacherId":7017972,"projectId":8838503,"letterContent":"I hope this note finds you well! I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt thanks for your generous donations. The new resources have truly made a difference in my second-grade classroom.\r\n\r\nWe've been having a blast using the Magnetic Pocket Chart Squares during our vocabulary lessons. Just last week, the kids worked in pairs to create sentences using the words we've been learning. They loved being able to move the words around and see their sentences come to life on the board. It was such a joy to see their faces light up with excitement as they proudly shared their creations with the class!\r\n\r\nWhen we first unboxed the Dry-Erase Writing Spots, my students couldn't contain their enthusiasm! They were so eager to try them out that they immediately started writing and drawing on them. It quickly became a favorite tool for our math practice, where they can easily solve problems and show their work right in front of them.\r\n\r\nThe Astrobrights Colored Paper and Construction Paper have also been a huge hit! We recently completed a project where the students created colorful book covers for their favorite stories. The vibrant colors inspired their creativity, and they loved showcasing their art around the classroom.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your support!
