My number one goal as a teacher is to see student success. After our first week of diagnostic testing, I observed how reading comprehension was among the lowest scores for many students. I would like to include more creative activities to boost scores in reading comprehension, such as reading relatable stories and using art to help students retell information, pull details from stories, and learn just how fun reading can be! They will keep their papers in the mailboxes and create their very own detailed storybook throughout the school year!
