I am requesting these items to help my students have a great recess time. These items are needed as we move away from sharing is caring to a more individually distanced fun recess time. Currently, when in school, my students will get to be on an amazing playground one day and blacktop the next due to social distancing. Students will be able to play with most of these items individually and that way we won't have to worry about them spreading germs. Most of my current recess items are shared. Recess is a great brain break for children and studies show that it is just as important for students as their academics and helps them to learn easier. These items also include things that can be used inside during rainy or cold days. If we have to go fully virtual, some of these items will be sent home to give the students fun brain breaks.
