Student's need to have a cozy place in their classroom to enjoy and expand their love of reading. I want to encourage students to read during literacy centers, through out the day and school year. When students read constantly, they grow their vocabulary, fluency and academic skills overall. Reading is in everything that a person will do in their lifetime; there is no getting away from it. Giving students a comfy area to relax and enjoy reading, they will be more likely to want to sit down and open a book. I want to give my students this opportunity to thrive.
