Most of them use tablets at home and laptops at school. When we use the tablets they have more background knowledge with them and they are much easier for the students to use to control the robots. It also adds the advantage of being able to move with the robots! The cases that I got with them have a strap to help keep the tablet secure and have a handle on the back to make it easier for the students to use. All around this project has put coding and computer science literally in the palms of students hands.
