As of right now, my classroom has old, worn out textbooks, 6 desks, and some chairs. As a teacher, I want to provide my students with materials for them to use during lessons, small group activities and small group lessons. With your help, these materials will enhance my lessons and provide support to students as we learn about the world outside of the walls of the school.
One of the materials we are in need of is an interactive globe. This product will allow me to show students a visual representation of continents, oceans, countries, and their locations. I have also added some fun games for students to do during their free time after their work is completed. Many classrooms have centers which provide extra focus on subject areas being taught in the lesson. I want to provide the same idea in social studies, however, we only have the materials I have purchased on my own.
Another focus of mine is to provide students with flexible seating to complete their work. My students enjoy working on my classroom rug, but I would like to provide more places for students to complete work. This is why I have added a few bean bag chairs and mini rugs for students to sit on.
