These hands-on materials created an inviting opportunity for students to explore, experiment, and bring their imaginative ideas to life through creative designs. The manipulatives transformed learning into an engaging experience where students could see their ideas take shape while developing important STEM skills such as critical thinking, communication, perseverance, and teamwork. Most importantly, this gift helped create an environment where every child could see themselves as a creator, designer, problem-solver, and scientist. By giving students the freedom to explore many forms of hands-on, inspirational design, the gift planted seeds of confidence and curiosity that can continue to grow throughout their educational journey. The gift of dry erase markers and personal pouches made such a meaningful impact in our classroom. These materials allowed students to actively participate in small, independent groups through hands-on practice, problem-solving, and collaboration. It also gave students the opportunity to work out math problems, brainstorm ideas, and demonstrate their thinking without the pressure of making mistakes on paper.\r\nThese supplies also helped me as their teacher to provide engaging and differentiated activities for students working at different levels. Because students can quickly erase, revise, and try again, they are encouraged to take risks, learn from mistakes, and build confidence. Students used reading, problem solving, and critical thinking skills to solve clues and complete challenges, giving them a fun and meaningful reason to interact with text. The puzzles helped increase engagement, especially for students who may not always be excited about traditional reading activities.\r\n\r\nThe project also encouraged collaboration and communication as students worked together to discuss ideas, make inferences, and explain their thinking. By combining literacy skills with teamwork, creativity, and a little friendly competition, the Escape Room materials helped students see the library as an exciting place to learn, explore, and grow as readers. Because of its success, I plan to continue using these materials to create new escape room experiences that support literacy and learning across multiple grade levels in the future.\r\n\r\nWe are incredibly grateful to our donors for providing the materials that made this project possible. The fact that my project was chosen to be funded brought so much relief and joy to my heart. The impact that this project has made on our students has been positive in so many ways. \r\n\r\nSecondly, I am excited to share how this Reward Shopping has impacted our students. Students are given points in an app for all of their hard work and positive choices. They accumulate these points throughout the week. Every Friday I set up our shop so students can exchange their points for extra snacks, fidgets, and the other many items that you have so generously donated. Students are now trying to keep themselves more in line with our expectations so that they may have the opportunity to shop, as well as trying to find opportunities to do extra things in our classroom. It is also helping them understand financial literacy. Students have to understand how many points they have, and what they can buy. They really are putting those math skills to work. It has been so wonderful to watch them grow in these ways.\r\n\r\nFinally, I just want to say thank you again. I am truly honored to have been chosen to have a project funded.
