The addition of these books to our school's library collection has benefitted our entire school community in ways that I didn't anticipate when designing this project!\r\n\r\nMy original plan for these books was to use them for library visits for our preschool and LINKS classrooms. These books have been a huge hit for these students. They love turning the pages and engaging in the interactive features of the books. The textures, sounds, flaps and other features of these books engage and excite the students. The sturdy board book bindings hold up to lots of curious hands and can withstand the unintentional rough handling that sometimes come with this age group. I am so grateful to have these books to enhance our library time.\r\n\r\nIn addition, I am pleased to report that these books have also benefitted many other students in our school. I put them on a shelf in our library so that I could see them and easily choose what to take to classrooms for their library time. I quickly found out that the whole school loves these books. Students of all ages, and reading levels, have been borrowing them from the library. They are useful for reinforcing reading concepts and to practice fluency through reading them aloud to other students or younger siblings.
