The children marched into the classroom with music in their caps and gowns. Parents and staff alike were all in tears as they entered into the room. They looked just adorable. It helps develop fine motor skills, which precedes writing skills. They sang pirate songs in the music room, they played pirate games in the gym, they read pirate stories by candlelight in the library, they created their own pirate flags with the art-teacher, they raced sailboats in our science room, and they tried out a pirate coding activity with the technology teacher.\r\n\r\nStudents from Kindergarten age through second grade, and their families, dressed up like pirates and filled our hallways with a joyful noise. They left with memories and pirate treasure! As shone in the picture, the students are having so much fun pretending to be veterinarians and taking care of all the animals.
