Each of the materials you helped fund has already made a meaningful difference in how students experience our space.\r\n\r\nThe calming blue Better Than Paper bulletin board roll, paired with the boho borders and retro welcome decorations, helped transform one of our older walls into a bright, inspiring display that students immediately noticed.\r\n\r\nThe color-your-own inspirational bookmarks have been a huge hit. Students love choosing their own design and coloring it in to make it personal. One of my reluctant readers proudly held up his finished bookmark and said, \"This is going in every book I read.\" Something as simple as a bookmark has helped make reading feel special and gives students a tangible connection to their books.\r\n\r\nAnd the collapsible wagon has already become my favorite tool. Whether I'm delivering books to classrooms or taking materials to a school event, the wagon makes it easy to bring the library beyond its walls. \r\n\r\nYour generosity has helped create a more vibrant, accessible library where students feel inspired, welcomed, and excited to read. The donations represented support and a sense of community beyond the classroom and facility. Supporting my ideas for the students was very encouraging. \r\n\r\nThe students have shown respect for the items that were donated. They ensure that every item is back in its place. They are rearranging the chairs and desks perfectly before they leave the classroom without any request from me. They understand that we are sharing the erasable highlighters, stylus, fidgets, and miniature animals so they count them and ensure that all are accounted for before they leave class. \r\n\r\nOne of the original items (colored masking tape) was not available so I ordered replacement items of miniature figurines including frogs, ducks, and soccer balls. These are used as fidget items to keep the students engaged. The students brighten up and get excited to have a choice of one of the items. I provide these items when students appear to have restless energy but are trying their best to focus. The fidgets have helped them regulate their attention, improve their focus, and make it through the class time.\r\n\r\nWhen introducing the erasable highlighters, we were about to read data and highlight specific information. Because we often highlight something and wish we had not, I asked the students how they felt about highlighting and they told me that it can seem a bit stressful. I then introduced the erasable highlighters to them and they had expressions of amazement because they did not know that an erasable highlighter existed. They immediately started highlighting with confidence and enjoyed the opportunity to try out the eraser. This will positively impact their perspective on reading and annotating during the critical reading process.\r\n\r\nThe project goal was to encourage quick, quiet, purposeful transitions. Approximately 30 students in each time block are transitioning silently, orderly, and are more productive as we shift from one task to the next. The desks and chairs are quieter with the padding under each leg, which minimizes students' voices rising over the sound of moving desks and chairs. The colored masking tape created non-verbal communication by indicating assignment of color for specific tables or specific students. Thanks to your donations, we are accomplishing our classroom goals.","fullyFundedDate":1752671539309,"projectUrl":"project/quiet-transitions/9456956/","projectTitle":"Quiet Transitions","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Dodd","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9844983"},{"teacherId":5637690,"projectId":9562452,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous contribution!
