I launched a book club open to all students, and I've been excited to see both girls and boys choose to participate.\r\nDuring our first meeting, we took the math quiz included in the book to better understand our attitudes toward math. It was eye-opening to see how students felt going into this experience. From there, we identified areas where students felt less confident and began reading chapters that directly connected to those challenges.\r\nThis book club has created a space where students can talk openly about math, build confidence, and approach it with a more positive mindset. Every scholar was able to have their own volleyball during the beginning phases of skill development and that makes a huge difference in how far they are able to progress in a short amount of time. My scholars absolutely love the additional materials we have acquired for yoga class through this project! The yoga blankets provide extra cushioning under their knees for poses like Cat-Cow. The yoga bolsters have been great for correcting improper spinal alignment which has helped them to develop better posture. I have noticed my scholars seem to enjoy yoga even better by adding the use of these extra materials. They come into class everyday, ready to work and participation throughout the entirety of the lesson is at its very best. One of my reluctant readers proudly held up his finished bookmark and said, \"This is going in every book I read.\" Something as simple as a bookmark has helped make reading feel special and gives students a tangible connection to their books.\r\n\r\nAnd the collapsible wagon has already become my favorite tool.
