When the students first entered the classroom and saw the plastic table toppers, there were lots of questions about what they were for (and touching to check things out). After a quick explanation and our first use, they got on board and liked being able to access paperwork needed for the day quickly. The plastic table toppers allows me to make a class set of 25 copies for lessons instead of needing a personal copy for each and every student. It saves paper, ink and time! The students have become quite accustomed to looking there first for the days assignment or instructions. I am so happy to now have a quick and easy way to prepare materials like handouts for daily use by my students. The AVID program starts each and every unit with a Pre- & Post- Prompt worksheet. The table toppers are very useful for this particular routine experience in our classroom. They also allow us to write on them like whiteboards with dry erase markers to do quick demonstrations of skills, planning projects, and more! We look forward to using them for years to come. It was eye-opening to see how students felt going into this experience. From there, we identified areas where students felt less confident and began reading chapters that directly connected to those challenges.\r\nThis book club has created a space where students can talk openly about math, build confidence, and approach it with a more positive mindset.
