Having enough sets of flags meant that every student could have her own equipment during practices and games without having to share or wait for a set. This allowed us to spend more time practicing and learning the fundamentals of flag football. We were able to hold over 10 practices over a 3 week span which prepared the girls for 2 home games against a rival middle school.\r\n\r\nOne specific moment that stood out was the day we received the new flags. Each girl was excited to open and receive her own set, and it was especially rewarding to see the older 8th grade girls helping the younger 7th grade girls learn how to properly put on and use their flags. It created a great sense of teamwork and community among the team. Having their own new equipment made the girls feel valued and showed them that their hard work and participation mattered. The donated resources were more than just equipment. They helped build confidence, excitement, and a stronger team experience for our students. The headphones are especially helpful for having passages read aloud, so many students who are not yet reading at grade level can access the same texts through text-to-speech. With the cold season here, the Kleenex and Clorox wipes have been appreciated by all the staff.
